WDA Welcomes New Principals, Continues Legacy

Since its founding in 1986, Wright & Dalbin Architects (WDA) has been a cornerstone of architectural excellence in El Paso and beyond. With a legacy built on thoughtful design, sustainable practices, and a deep commitment to community, WDA has grown into one of the region’s most respected full-service architecture firms. From award-winning projects, to transformative residential and commercial developments, WDA’s work has consistently reflected its mission, to deliver innovative, high-quality design solutions that serve both people and place.

Today, WDA enters an exciting new chapter. Founding principals Fred Dalbin and Geoffrey Wright, who have led the firm with vision and integrity for nearly four decades, have assembled a team to carry on the legacy of WDA. Through their leadership they will continue to shape not only the firm’s portfolio but also its culture—one rooted in collaboration, sustainability, and service.

WDA is proud to announce four new principals: Robert Garland, Angel Bataller, Rick Armendariz, and Tony Labrado. Each brings a wealth of experience, creativity, and dedication to the firm’s mission. Their elevation to partnership reflects the WDA’s commitment to continuity, and growth, ensuring that the firm’s values remain strong as it evolves.

The philosophy of WDA remains steadfast. The firm’s approach to design, client relationships, and community engagement continue to evolve, improve and prepare it to embrace the challenges and benefits that come with change.
