About Ciudad Juárez, Mexico
Ciudad Juárez is a major city in the Mexican state of Chihuahua, located on the Rio Grande river directly across the border from El Paso, Texas. As part of the largest binational metropolitan area on the U.S.–Mexico border, it is a critical center for trade, manufacturing, and culture in the region.
About Energy Efficiency
In building design, energy efficiency means using less energy to heat, cool, and power a home or building without sacrificing comfort or performance. This is achieved through a holistic approach that includes high-performance insulation, airtight construction, energy-efficient windows, and modern, properly-sized mechanical systems (HVAC).
About Site Optimization
Site optimization is an architectural design strategy that involves orienting and shaping a building to best respond to its natural environment. This includes positioning windows to maximize natural light while minimizing unwanted solar heat gain, taking advantage of prevailing winds for natural ventilation, and working with the land's topography to manage water and improve energy performance.
