The Bassett Tower, an iconic building located in downtown El Paso and originally designed by Henry C. Trost in 1930, was transformed into a stylish hotel through a collaborative renovation effort. Leo A Daly served as the design architect for the renovation, while WDA acted as the historic architect, helping preserve the building’s historic character while adapting it for modern use. The project secured both state and federal Historic Tax Credits, successfully blending history with contemporary luxury.
