Alamito STREAM Center

The historic Alamito Community Center is to be repurposed to become a community hub for learning in the STREAM fields where teachers and students from UTEP and EPCC will work with children and families from the Segundo Barrio neighborhood. The facility will feature clean labs, a greenhouse, and maker spaces that include STREAM rooms with kilns, laser cutters, pro 3D printers. Kitchen spaces for EPCC master classes also be available to neighborhood families to study Kitchen Science. A net-zero environment that can be monitored by the community is a goal.
